Absolutely gorgeous antique French Louis Philippe era COMPLETE matching 8pc sterling silver serving implement set with sleek, elegant handles, "RP" monograms, the original steel & carved natural blades AND all beautifully kept in the original fitted storage and/or presentation box! A wonderful set, complete and all pieces with matching Classical pattern with acanthus accents. The set includes meat carving knife and fork, salad serving fork & spoon and four hors d'oeuvre or condiment pieces! Hallmarked sterling silver handles, the French Minerve or Minerva on each, the number "1" mark designates them as being .950 silver content (95% pure, higher than the .925 standard for sterling silver). The bowls and tines of the four hors d'oeuvre pieces are also hallmarked sterling silver. Silversmith marks are for Pierre Queille, a known maker for the world famous House of Odiot, Paris circa 1834-1846. Genuine carved tines & bowl on the salad serving pair, original steel tines & blade on the meat serving pieces (though you can see that the carving knife blade needs some work or restoration) and sterling silver bowls & blades on the rest. All original and all in wonderful shape, gorgeous!

Very good condition. A slight dimple possible to the silver handles, some tarnish to the steel and, as noted above, there is some chipping to the carving knife blade. There is a bit of age discoloration on the salad pieces and one of the salad fork tines has been broken off and re-glued. The box is original, all pieces fit perfectly and the box itself is in great shape. See pictures for measurements.
