Part of this set is unsigned but is all absolutely by Daum Nancy. You see the signature on bottom of some of the cups for this set. It was typical to sign some but not all pieces, as you see in this set. We've had this exact form without signature, and near-matching ones like a slightly varied decanter and tray absinthe set (sold separately) from the same 19th c. period, signature intact on some pieces. The late 1800s elegant glassware set is one made for liqueur service for guests - aperitif before dinner or liqueurs apres (after dinner). The decanter can be used separately as water or wine service for a single place setting, as we have seen done with this exact same type by Daum in various Palace table settings in Europe, notably the Catherine Palace in St. Petersburg. The signature can be seen on bottom of some of the shot cups. The set is matching and original. Not all pieces in a set would be signed. There is some likelihood the set is part of a much larger set, some would include 2 decanters and 12 cordial cups plus a matching undertray.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. The set is Daum Nancy, both signed and unsigned. We've dealt in many many Daum sets in the past that bear signature. We do guarantee our descriptions, and we also accept returns if you're unhappy for any reason, of course. No chips that I've located at all - not even on the 6 dainty cordial cups. There is some wear-away to the gold feathering on handle of the pitcher and here or there, but not much. A lovely old set!
