Stunning! From an anonymous Hollywood estate. A 3pc set of ceremonial 18th century Sevres marked plates or shallow soup bowls, each with a 10" in diameter and rather deep at the sides for plates, the rims measure it at 1.5". A royal crest centers it with two-toned green boarders and elaborate raised gold enamel work throughout. The "Double Louis" or interlaced "L" marks with S might indicate c.1771, the addition of the raised gold enamel crown on top quite interesting. In either case, Louis XV to XVI era, and a splendid museum piece!
Excellent condition throughout, these have definitely been well-treasured pieces. There are no chips, no hairlines, no cracks, no restorations, and really I don't even see any loss or touch-up to any of that masterwork painted crest nor the hand applied raised gold enamel work.
