Gorgeous antique French Napoleon III era 18k gold on hallmarked silver “vermeil” scent or perfume flask, an elegant bottle with guilloche style decoration and original fitted & shaped presentation box! I just love these old French scent or perfume bottles, as elegant as can be and rare to find one with the original opulent box! The bottle itself in a tear drop shaping with crisp wheel cut edges and that lovely 18k gold plated silver collar & cap. Both the collar & cap bear the tiny French boar’s head hallmark meaning the silver beneath the gold is at least .800 or 80% pure silver (a common allow in that the slightly lower silver content gives it more strength and durability). No silversmith marks but that’s to be expected on these smaller silver items. The box, shaped or domed lid and black leatherette with a royal blue velvet interior fitting that nestles the bottle. A beautiful piece, don’t miss it!

Very good to excellent condition for age and type. I see no chips or cracks in the bottle or neck though there is no inner glass stopper. It likely had a stopper originally or, perhaps, just a bit of cork in the lid to create the seal. We can refer buyer to a glass cutter who does these tiny stoppers for about $30 should you want one cut.  No dents or damage to the silver and hardly a sign of wear to the heavy 18k gold plating. The box also in great shape with just a very slight bit of a bend to either the base or lid portion but it does close and clasp completely. See pictures for all measurements.
