Wonderful antique marked circa 1900 20 5/8" wide vanity or hand fan shadowbox style display frame, 2" deep with gilded wood framing, original glass & backing and in fine condition! Meant to display an antique hand fan with roughly 20cm guards, the total width of the glass is 18" wide & 11" tall. Red velvet backing appears to be original, as is the back and has a label that reads "Galerias Costa, Tapineriea 12, Barcelona". Hard to find these and a must if you're a fan collector!
Very good condition. Some darkening to the gold finish, visible in the images. The paper or card covering on the back as been torn at the sides but is mostly intact, as is the label. We've left the backing unattached for easier placement of your fan (or whatever you decide to display). See images for all measurements.
