Recently acquired an entire collection of fine early to mid-1800s cigar cases and we’ll list each one separately for sale. Look for them all, though. The entire collection is just fabulous! From hand embroidered ones to one favorite of mine with hand carved antler stag on front, to a splendid old shagreen case, to a host of others that would be wonderful gift ideas along with a tin of Davidoff cigars (or other) for your favorite friends who enjoy one now and then. I’ll be brief in describing each one, but they’ve come to us out of Paris and from the estate of a noted (and titled) collector who chose to remain anonymous. Wish we could disclose.   A wonderful case with elaborate embroidery work worked on the leather of the outer case with floral decorated back & monogrammed front. A bit of age visible here but a fabulous decorative piece, grouped and displayed. Silk embroidery, entirely hand sewn. Original interior pockets and lined in a grey moire silk. The monogram as well, and I’d say it’s "EF" or "FE".

Good to very good condition for age and type. Refer to our photos, please. It has a silk fabric lining that suggests it wasn't used much if at all. Some age to it just from the years and the materials. Clasp and hinges working fine. Side baffle will expand the depth of the case to hold several cigars, or to hold your spectacles, a credit card and house key so you could use it as an evening clutch should you wish to. I used to use these in that way for after-hours social events when i worked for Paramount, Inc, and it was the easiest way ever to open conversations, make new contacts. Always an item someone would ask about. Some of the thicker wire embroidery accenting around the sides is loose. See pictures for measurements.
