I suspect this beautiful little bauble might once have been the drop of an earring. It's lovely on its own now as a pendant locket, a mourning piece, as you can see, and it does test 18k gold so definitely worth salvaging. I don't do so much with jewelry these last years, and am really just clearing things out. Set with lots of beautiful little Persian turquoise half-rounds, early to mid-1800s French, a bit to the old Etruscan aesthetic - fine quality, with it being 18k. Measurements noted on photos. A petit treasure.
Very good to excellent condition, consideration that it is probably a piece from some grand parure. But a very pretty piece it is! I've worn it on a delicate 18k gold chain. The measurements are noted on the photos. The gold is relatively thin, beautifully crafted. As noted, I suspect it might have been a drop to a set of Victorian era earrings. A bit of a mystery piece I bought ages ago in London.
