Selling off my own lifelong collections, and I had loads of Victorian to Georgian Grand Tour micro mosaic plaques and jewelry. Some perfect and some, like this one, just short of perfect. While this beautiful pendant is wearable and lovely, and very pretty from the face side, mounted in a pendant mount with 18k gold bale, though the frame tests lower K, so likely modified with an added bale at some point. From the backside, you can see that there has been a break, which has apparently been made stable by application of a resin (from look of it). There are no chips to the beveled edge and as noted, difficult to see the fine hairline from the frontside. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good condition for age and type, with the flaw as noted - a fine tight hairline that traverses just below midline (marked in x) which is faint on the front, and more visible on back where it has been made nicely stable with application of resin. Definitely one you'll wear and enjoy, or just display with your own collection, as I have.
