Fabulous antique Victorian to early Edwardian era Black Forest hand carved 15 3/8" folding book rack with chamois or deer and long horned mountain goat or ibex figures & foliage and the sliding base expands or telescopes up to a 22.75" total width! We always try to have at least one of these on offer, with tariffs and shipping from Europe they're getting more and more difficult to keep in stock. This one with a lovely warm but lighter aged finish or patina and detailed figures, each side unique. Very good condition. Most notable flaws are the outer horn of the long-horned goat or ibex and chamois are missing or chipped. Possibly a small nip or two elsewhere but no larger chips, no splitting or warping and all original hardware. See images for all measurements.
