Charming antique Victorian era Bohemian or Egermann spa souvenir lidded mug or smaller stein with two engraved architectural scenes, ruby overlay with vines & foliage and “Emile” dedication! I’d say a child’s size stein but don’t think that would be acceptable :). Roughly half the size of the usual stein, this one holds a little under four fluid ounces but is as finely crafted as any. Thick wheel cut glass with the pewter framed lid/cap and wonderful visual & decorative appeal! The Grand Tour travelers of the Victorian era - travelers of wealth and standing, created industry in tourist souvenirs, and they bought them and had them sent back home as gifts and as proofs and remembrances of their wonderful travels. This is one of those and it depicts a wheel-engraved rendering of THREE unique architecturals, one entitled “Badehaus” and I can’t quite make out the other. These pieces are fabulous grouped and displayed!
Very good condition. Possibly a few tiny nips but I see no larger chips, no cracks or other damage to note. Some slight scratching to the ruby overlay in places but overall superb, age and materials considered. See pictures for measurements.
