Fine antique to vintage Edwardian era 9.5" wide roll top style cigar cabinet or presenter, solid hardwood with brass edging & inlays, five slide-out trays to hold fifty 5 5/8" cigars or cheroots! One of two similar roll-top or, more accurately, roll-front cigar chests that we're adding this week so be sure to browse some while you're with is. This one with brass edging top & bottom and brass strip inlays. The front roll-top style panel slides up into the box to expose the five slide-out trays, each with ten grooves or partitioned slots that hold roughly 5 5/8" long 5/8" cigars. All trays with the original brass or bronze pulls. No veneers here, solid wood and the grain makes me think it's mahogany. A fine decorative piece, great for the tobaccianna collector though it could also be used to house, protect or display a collection of antique pens, etc. Enjoy!
Very good condition. The front slides relatively easily, no damage to the sliding facade. Some visible age and there is a lingering water ring on the lid (as if someone left a weeping cup there) but no notable damage or repairs. See images for all measurements.
