The very rare and original French Empire period Bouillotte Lamp you see here is one I've owned for many years. One of two I'll be listing today, sold separately. I used them for a long time and then they've been relaxing in our warehouse for a long time waiting for me to decide if I could ever part with them. This one is my favorite, and is the oldest. A superb example of why these remain so popular, if one can find an old original. Look it over. It is large in size at 24" in height. The shade is nearly 16" in diameter (measurements are all on the photos. Swans, the hand finial at top, lovely Empire motif throughout to include the wreath on the toleware shade. Look for the other one, sold separately.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. No breaks, no repairs, no loss to any of the hardware. The lamp is heavy old cast bronze and weighs about 6 lbs for shipping. Shade is tin, tole or hand painted. The old tole painting is in very nice form with very little loss. No dents or bad spots to consider, even on the old shade. All the hardware is complete and it's sturdy and ready for use and enjoyment. We'd date this one c.1810-40. Our photos are large and clear. We do expect our customers to review them all, evaluate the item based on both our description and our images. Thanks for all the compliments - we love what we do! Antiques & Uncommon Treasure - all the best, all the time.
