Time to add to your desktop or wall display of your favorite family photos? These Antique French bow top frames are fabulous and draw the eye. This is one of my own, the kiln-fired convex enamel plaque as colorful mat sets off the bright dore bronze frame front beautifully. We recently offered one in taller oval, the blue of this mat is slightly grayish blue and not quite navy blue. Easel back or hanging loop, great versatility in how you use it. A portrait miniature frame but upped in size a bit, the aperture is a 3 1/2" diameter view. One note, this one does not have a cover glass in place, but rather has a thin clear protective panel serving in place of a glass. One could certainly have a round glass cut for it.

Very good to excellent condition, even the enamel mat is superb and without chips or damage/loss. This one display so beautifully. Just a mention that the cover glass has not been in place in all the time I've owned it and it has a thin clear panel there instead. It works this way for your photos (or mine), but you might wish to have a round glass cut. The overall diameter of this beautiful old frame is 6", and it dates c.1880-1900, give or take 10 years.
