This is noted on back as being Mme Du Barry, here in a casual pose with a book and an informal yellow gown with lace bodice scarf. The extra large size is impressive (see our final image) and three is no loss or damage to the painting. The painting is signed to the far right edge at the 3 o'clock position, but I can't make it out. It's shown very large and clearly for your review. I suspect this is a copy/"apres" reproduction of a more full-sized famous portrait, perhaps by Vigee LeBrun, but I don't recognize it just now. It was a Grand Tour tourist trade genre; copying the old paintings in the Louvre and selling them to the Grand Tour travelers as souvenirs. I believe this is one of those.
Very good condition for age and type. Painted in gouache, Dating early to mid-1800s, it is nicely framed. Cover glass in place and no warp to the painting "canvas". Frame shows some age, visible in our images. Measurements are noted on our images.
