The French tradition, an aperitif served ahead of a meal to enliven the appetite and taste buds, and sometimes after a desert, these whimsical charming sets survive to carry on the charming tradition in your own home. This one is complete, all 6 cups original to the barrel decanter, and even the stopper remains. Holder is also complete with its spigot and handle so ready to function at table. Found in Paris. Full measurements noted on photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. I don't find chips or cracks, no hairlines. Rare excellent set dates Napoleon III to perhaps as late as 1800. The rack is not silver - white metal with a less formal look to it. Charming for summer dining.
