Just love the old 19th century pipe racks, and we've heard from customers that they've put some to use to display wooden spoons or other utensils in kitchens and absolutely love them for that display use. If you're a pipe smoker, you're sure to know it was originally a pipe rack. This one will hold 7 of whatever you decide. In the Bretton "chip carved" style, it has the open fretwork center feature with turned wood spindles, too. So appealing in design and also the warm finish to the wood. Hand carved, hand crafted, dating c.1880-1915.
Very good condition throughout. Not a chip nor crack anywhere to be found. The hanging hardware on back means it's all set to hang and use. We clean and lightly apply beeswax to our old woods. You'll love the warm stained natural wood - that grain! Measures 12.5" long, 7.5" tall and 1.5" deepest at the rack. Seven holes for your pipes or spoons. I vote spoons on this one!
