Fine antique French sterling silver 2" napkin ring, 95% pure silver with ornate machined or engraved decoration including oval medallion sans monogram and subtle convex shaping! Stamped with the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark, the tiny number "1" within that mark means it's 1st quality for .950 or better silver content (at least 95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). I've looked it over pretty closely but am not seeing the tiny silversmith mark. Surely dates from the 1880s to earliest 1900s.
