Often referred to as a patch box, which it technically is not, this little Grand Tour era trinket box from Bohemian glass makers is a lasting delight of a souvenir which has made it to age 170 or so without a single bit of damage. Raised enamel painting borders it and the hand painted oil painting of a castle up top would have been the reminder of someone's visit. If someone recognizes the castle, let me know via email, please. I'm not placing it. Teal semi-transparent blown glass, perfect form and a ground pontil recessed bottom.
Excellent condition throughout, not a single flaw to note. Such a pretty one in light.
