I have a lot of fabulous portrait miniatures that I just keep neglecting to get listed, so I'm going to do so now in a rather brief process, giving just the minimum. This one with marvelous facial detail, exquisite really, framed in an old period Louis-Philippe era oval ebonized wood bombe style wall frame with deep convex glass. She is shown set against a relatively bland maroon background that makes her stand out beautifully, all add to this painting's appeal. It would be fabulous hanging in a Bru doll house display - don't you agree? A bit larger than most "miniatures", it's really charming.
Very good to excellent condition. Some slight surface 'scuffs' to the wood frame but it has the original convex glass. No damage to the painting itself. Photos tell all. Measurements noted on images.
