Luxurient down-filled and French passementerie fringed velvet or silk decorator sofa or throw pillow incorporating antique needlework and tapestry fragments - you know the type and the look, and the high prices. Here's a wonderful one from my 4 decades collections, ready for you to do a little restoration and then make up your own pillow. Fox and crane, florals and ruins of an old castle, all in a superb light palette which will go with any decor. This panel was salvaged from an early 1800s chair seat. One could cut it down and use as a square or a round centerpiece to your pillow. Full measurements noted on the photos, along with suggestions of where one might cut down the needlework to eliminate the area of most loss. Each tiny stitch done by hand, one at a time, the petitpoint (smallest stitches on fox and crane) as well as the needlepoint, all in silk and wool yarn worked on linen canvas.

Good to very good condition for age and type, you can see there are a few stitches lost to time, though it's a simple test to do the needlepoint restorations, you might also wish to cut the size down to eliminate that larger area of loss (see photos suggesting cuts). Making pillows from these is really quite a simple project, and you're the designer - choose your own trims, fabric, fringe. Go shabby chic with this one against a tan/cream checked linen, or more formal against velvet.  Shown front and back.
