Lovely antique 6 1/4" sterling silver overlay goblet or vase with scrolled side handles, thick wheel etched floral decoration and unique yellow enamel base! One of several sterling silver overlay pieces that we're adding this week, this one rather unique in style with the side handles and yellow base. Simply marked "Sterling" so we're sure it's an American piece and likely dates to the early 1900s. Relatively thin silver overlay with some small losses and/or wear but the glass is thick & heavy and the visual appeal is definitely there. These sterling overlay pieces really do look fabulous grouped & displayed.
Very good condition. No chips or cracks to the glass, just a few small spots of missing silver overlay. At first, I assumed that someone just painted the bottom post-creation but I tried some paint stripper and it didn't have any effect whatsoever so it is likely original.
