Fabulous antique French Napoleon III or Victorian era 9 1/4" papier mache double inkwell & stationery stand with floral mother of pearl inlays, hand painted decoration and wonderful condition! Gorgeous really, with the colorful flowers and leaves (mother of pearl inlays with painting over and gold enamel vines or tendrils. The rear of the caddy has two stationery slots, the front with two heavy glass inkwells with silver plated tops and a covered stamps or accoutrement compartment between. Beautiful, don't miss it!
Very good to excellent condition, age considered. There is some wear and/or loss to the paint over the pearl flower inlays and one small chip to the rear base corner. The inkwells are not original, slightly smaller than the spaces in the stand, and they also have different tops. See images for all measurements.
