In case you're one of the lucky ones who have a glorious old pair of 18k gold reading glasses, you might appreciate this sweet old French beadwork case made in leather. I have a couple sets of the old gold spectacles, myself, and this is the type of case I've been keeping them in on a tabletop or bedside. We do not have the spectacles to go with this case, however, and certainly you can use it with any old spectacles you might have. The case is a lovely display to rest atop your stack of old leather-bound books on a side table, too. It is 6" in length. The remaining measurements can be found directly on our photos, as always.
Very good condition for age and type. There is a little loss to the beading which you can see very clearly and well in our oversized and very clear photos. The interior on this case is in lovely condition and is the original silk satin. The old leather has a few surface scuffs but is still supple and beautiful. The gold embossed decoration on the case is still gorgeous, and the hinges and working clasp all are in fine order.
