This is not an 18th century French salt box or cabinet, and it is a 20th century resurrection of a very popular old style which remains sought after. The 18th century ones we've had are very pricey, this one is not. It is French, it is hand carved, and has all the charming features of the old originals, a lift-top salt cabinet, and a spice drawer in bottom, the carved legs and finials. We're offering it as 'vintage' after an 18th century item and at decorator pricing. These are fabulous on your countertops or worked into centerpiece on your kitchen table or center bar. Full measurements are noted on the photos, with overall height 17 1/2" tallest.
Very good to excellent condition, no breaks or chips, but remember it's vintage and a copy of the 17th -18th century cabinets. Made to the aesthetic, but not antique, just vintage. Yes, found in France. Thick wood make, a bit heavy (stable) and can be on countertop or hung on wall or side of your cabinet, as was always done. No breaks, nice dark Country French patina.
