Highly detailed antique heavy solid bronze 4 3/8" x 3 1/8" plaque with classical figures morphing from acanthus, holding an amphora with snakes or serpents! Not sure if this was from a box or piece of furniture or just made to be the art/sculpture piece that it is but the detail is wonderful and it could almost be used on the desktop as a paper weight. Marvelous figures and decorative appeal, let your imagination go wild with this one. No maker or foundry marks that I can see but a true work of art.
