The last of my collection of early 1900s to perhaps c.1925 French minaudière, make up purse, evening bag created to hold a lady's powder, lipstick, a comb, mirror and a celluloid note panel (this one has shrunken with age and is out of its holder). Rarer to find one of these with the original black suede scabbard that makes it a purse. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, the only notable imperfection I've found are 2 fine hairlines radiating from hinge at bottom of the minaudière, marked for your review with 'x' at each. Hard to see against the dark chocolate and brandy colored mottles of the old shell. No warp. The compartment covers are tight, shrinkage of the natural materials, so open them carefully. Original comb is still there. It would have had a powder screen and puff, no longer with it. Mirror is excellent and one need just re-mount the celluloid note pad on the backside (loose as of listing, as shown). A very nice old one. My last of my collection. Restrictions apply:
