Absolutely gorgeous antique French Belle Epoque era sterling silver 46oz coffee or tea pot with ornate Louis XIV or rococo style including acanthus accents, lion's paw feet & "CB" or "BC" interlaced monogram! YUM, I just love this one! Just in from France and both large and stunning. Acanthus leaves accents on both the sinuous handle & spout, rocaille decoration around the base, rim and lid and held aloft on those fabulous paw feet. It bears the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark in several places, the tiny number "1" within those marks means it's in .950 silver (95% pure and higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith mark is for Claude Doutre Roussel, Paris circa 1895. One you'll love and ready to use. Large enough for guests, too, now that we're hopefully getting back to that type of 'normal' life.
Very good to excellent condition. Thick & heavy old French silver. A tiny dimple or two but no larger dents, damage or repairs to note. See pictures for all measurements.
