Fantastic antique French Victorian or Napoleon III era cigar presenter tantalus, box, chest with kingwood veneers, brass & mother of pearl marquetry inlay and complete interior with sliding cigar panels and accoutrement drawer! This one just in from France and about as lovely as they come! Beautiful veneers with brass & mother of pearl marquetry inlays, working lock with key and simply gorgeous. Not, by definition, a humidor but it fits into that category the best. There is no soaker or humidifying mechanism, this one mostly just a short-time storage or presenter. Tantalus style with the lid and front panel opening completely to the cigar trays and drawer inside, all with a finished rosewood or mahogany look. Fantastic!
Very good condition. There is a bit of loss to the marquetry inlay on the front left corner of the lid but, as you can see, it's in marvelous shape with age, etc. considered. Working lock & key. The base is 10 7/8" x 7 3/4" and the chest stands 7 1/4" tall.
