First, I felt the best way for you to see this big beauty is to pose it on a full sofa or two, on a window seat, and on a queen bed, just to show the enormity of it. This beautifully crafted lush large pillow, 43" x 21.5" tapestry plus opulent 3" tassel passementerie fringe trim is made from a 19th century French Aubusson which was likely once the back of a large settee or sofa, salvaged. As you can see, its palette is perfect for any variety of spots, and I've shown it in 4 in our photos. You could add 20 other settings and it would be just as beautiful - do not be confused, it is just the large pillow offered in this listing. This one just needed to be shown in a way you could fully appreciate the size of it. I do think it wants to be on a bed, a big bolster to lean into to read or watch your favorite series, or take your breakfast in bed. It is backed with a raw silk looking fabric. My guess, from the quality of fringe, it will test silk, but I'd have to open it and do a tiny burn test to be certain. It is beautiful, clean, no odor, just stunning! Opulent!
Very good to excellent as any of these we've ever found (or made), and I will say that it has magnificent tapestry and fringe which might keep you from seeing there are just a couple of slightly freeing spots to outer corners, so I've added in photos to draw your attention to the slight imperfection. One could support those with a few well-placed stitches, but the vast bulk of the pillow is free of such minor flaws. Again, tapestry used is 43" x 21.5" and the fringe is 3" additional inches. If Rick had been with me, he probably would have discouraged the purchase for the shipping issue, but it will work just fine in a lamp box. The weight listed for shipping is higher than the pillow, but must be there to accommodate the large box necessary.
