She's absolutely lovely, a very large watercolor portrait miniature (considering the genre and era), painted on card or heavy paper and beautifully preserved under original convex cover glass in original frame. Her costume and hair are c.1830s fashion and the painting is consistently in that era, nearly 200 years old now. The old velum backing is in place, though you see a split. I do not have an ID for her, and can't see a signature. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition for age and type, a little halo at outer perimeter of painting likely due to moisture collection or improper effort to clean glass. The primary painting is lovely. Original convex cover glass fully intact in large sturdy frame. I have not opened this miniature, but feel certain she's painted on heavy paper or card, and I didn't not want to take a chance of damaging it.
