Delightful antique Victorian to early Edwardian era Black Forest hand carved 10" tall vanity or boudoir mirror, a "Brigue" marked souvenir piece with pierced or reticulated vines & foliage and charming little Brienz bear up top! One of two Black Forest mirrors that we're adding this week, the other with a quite unique figural grouping, including snail, bird & snake. This one a wonderful piece with the vines or branches encircling the oval mirror, oak leaves and the souvenir inscription. Brigue, a southwest Alpine area on the French and Italian border. A wonderful decorative accent and these can also make wonderful picture frames if you so wish, just add a clear glass and the photo. Don't miss it!
Very good condition. The mirror is a replacement and the easel stand is a replacement. A few chips to the carved portions of the frame, a small section of vine or branch missing and what appears to be hairline splits or cracks to the bear's front legs. See pictures for all measurements.
