Garnets always photograph dark, look black, but as you can see, these are brilliant claret red and lovely old beads mounted on these 2 hair ornaments or pins. The gens are 12mm in diameter, and there are 9 on each of the hairpins. The mouth are nice quality, but not gold as you can see. Napoleon III era, c.1850-70s, perhaps earlier, it's fun to find the pair still together. Full measurements noted on the photos.
Very good to excellent condition, no chips or flaws to the 18 large facet-cut beads, which are strung on a metal wire which attaches to the bar. Each have 2 tines, one will need to bend them a bit into shape that works if you're wanting to wear these. They're just in from France. Yes, it is possible they're Prussian.
