Elegant antique French hallmarked sterling silver 2pc open or master salt set with spoons, original blown glass inserts with wheel cut & shaped rims and ornate Empire styling including bow & ribbon, arrow filled quiver & flute and floral garland! A pair yes but what a lovely pair! All bear the post-1878 French Minerve or Minerva hallmarks, the tiny number "1" within those marks means they're in .950 silver (95% pure so higher than the .925 standard for "sterling" silver). The silversmith marks on the salts are for Louis Coignet, Paris circa 1889-1893 (marks on spoons are different so they're not original). A lovely pair, don't miss them.
Very good condition. A tiny dimple or two to the silver salts and some age tarnish visible in spots but both glass inserts are original and in great shape. See pictures for all measurements.
