Everything on this superb pair of 19th century Old Paris tazza or raised plates is in fine form but the very outer gold rim, and it's rubbed a bit. That said, allow me to point out that each plate is in that deep delicious pink that we associate most often with Sevres porcelains and Marie-Antoinette's bedroom in the Palace of Versailles. And each of these has not only got 4 hand painted ornithological or bird themed paintings, but they're also decorated further in raised gold enamel, also hand applied. The pair are, together, a fabulous center for your own table, flanking a vase of flowers - don't you agree? Or enjoy them in display case, displayed as the fine art they are. Or mount them above a pair of sconces in living room, dining room or bedroom - beautiful! Each has a 9" diameter and is 2 1/8" tall with 6 1/8" base diameters. Lovely!
Very good to excellent with only slight rubs to the very outer rim of gold enamel. No scrapes or damage, no chips or cracks. No hairlines. Heavy, they have marks on backside, but they can only be considered 'Old Paris'.
