Very rarely have I had one of these little necessaire, etui with such perfect condition, age considered. All of the silver inlaid decoration in complete, and there are no missing or broken panels in th mother of pearl veneers. The body of the case is wood, with a thick lustrous veneer of pearl panels, each inlaid with a thicker silver than the usual foil, which is likely why it's remained in such fine condition. Thrilling to open one of these and find it still has its original interior fitting, which in this one's case is a little salts or scent flacon, bottle, still complete with stopper. That the stopper is heart shaped is just too sweet. I had intended to get it listed ahead of Valentine's Day but I'm behind schedule. Full measurements are noted on the photos.
