Very good to excellent condition, the carving is entirely without flaw, no chips, hairlines, no cracks, sturdy on his base and even his pointy hat is undamaged. The metal part rising from his basket show age, of course, but operate just fine, the spring-operated gong sending a crisp clear ring from each strike of the bell. I did not ever try to clean that bell. One might wish to. Wonderful desktop or tabletop item.
