Sized down a bit, 10 3/4" tall and holding coffee or tea service for 1 or 2 persons, this is called a 'duet kettle' or 'duet samovar'. A heating element in bottom of the stand, keeping your coffee or tea hot as you wish they all did. Beautifully crafted and thick in gauge as French sterling is famed for, the pot is clean, polished and ready to use. A beautiful ebonized or ebony handle is so beautifully crafted, it just feels wonderful in the hand. The 3 pieces are original to each other, and remain is fine condition. Full measurements are noted on the photos. It holds 17 oz. fluid, a bit over a pint (2 good sized cups).
Very good to excellent condition for age and type. I'm so tempted to keep this one for myself. I love extra hot coffee and a couple of cups each morning, cream and honey. For me, most pots go unused because my coffee cools too much. This is the point behind a 'kettle' or samovar type set. I find one small dot ding on one side at about the broadest part of the pot. No bends to the pot nor to the burner, each of which are hinged well and close tightly. The holder on the stand base, where the burner rests is very slightly off-flat. Nothing functional, but perhaps one might wish to fully straighten the braces. I'll have Rick take a look at it.
